Abstract

This research aims to increase the learning motivation of children aged 5-6 years at AL- Muhajirin Sumengko Kindergarten through icebreaking activities. The method used in this researchisClassroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects used in this research were 16 children with datacollection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the researchshow that the use of ice breaking activities can increase children's learning motivation at AL-MuhajirinSumengko Kindergarten. This is proven based on the results of data processing and analysis obtainedin the field, in the initial conditions children's learning motivation was very low with a presentationof 58% in the pre-cycle. The results of research using icebreaking activities in cycle l increased by apercentage of 61.4%. In the second cycle, there was an increase in learning motivation reaching78.3%. Based on this, it can be concluded that the use of icebreaking activities is very effective in increasingchildren's learning motivation
