Abstract

CV. Tiga Karya Persada Indonesia is a company that focuses on steel processing services such as making canopies and fences. The layout here is considered not good, where in the fabrication area there are 3 different processes. From this incident, work errors often occur, and the material movement distance is also considered not optimal. The research aims to provide recommendations for a more optimal production layout for moving materials, as well as separating fabrication areas to minimize the occurrence of work process errors. The methods used are Activity Relationship Chart (ARC), Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD) and Blocplan. By using this method, a total reduction in material movement distance of 5 m was obtained, with an efficiency of 35.21%. Layout recommendations result in smaller material movement distances. Therefore, this proposed layout can be an alternative relayout facility layout for CV. Tiga Karya Persada Indonesia to be more optimal.
