Abstract

Romaine lettuce production has decreased on national scale. One of the efforts that can be done to increase the production and yield of romaine lettuce is cultivation with proper fertilization and reducing the use of inorganic fertilizers and pesticides. This study aims to determine the interaction of the dose of kasgot fertilizer with different planting distances, determine the right planting distance, and determine the dose of fertilizer that is effective for the growth and yield of romaine lettuce plants. The method used was Randomized Group Design (RAK) with treatments P1 = 5ton/ha, P2 = 10ton/ha, P3 = 15ton/ha, and P4 = 20ton/ha and different plant spacing J1 = 15x20cm, J2 = 20x25cm, and J3 = 25x25cm. The results of the analysis of variance at the 5% level of this study showed significant results on the number of leaves and non-significant on plant height, root volume, wet weight, and dry weight
