Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in construction and one of the machines used in carrying out production activities is a batching plant machine. In a period of 6 months, the batching plant machine suffered sudden engine damage 39 times on Line 5. The purpose of this study is to measure the effectiveness of the machine using the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) method and identify problem factors using fishbone diagrams and can determine alternative proposals for improvement in accordance with the highest weighting using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach assisted using expert choice software 11. The results showed an average value of OEE of 91.34% and a high value of downtime is defined as a loss that affects the low value of availability. An alternative strategy that is a top priority in minimizing downtime is the development of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) worth 39.8%.
