Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on student learning outcomes in science subjects in elementary schools. The research was conducted in class V of SDN Wirobiting 1 with a total of 30 students. The method in this research uses quantitative experiments, the type used is pre-experiment. The design research is one group pretest-posttest. The data collection technique used is a test (pretest and posttest). The instrument used in this research was cognitive questions C1-C4, with a total of 20 questions. The analysis used uses the N-Gain formula. The average results from the pretest and posttest are 49.5 and 71.3, with an N-Gain score of 0.42, which is included in the medium category. It can be concluded that science learning using the guided inquiry model influences the learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN Wirobiting 1.
