The participation of the village government/village head is needed, especially in the role of facilitator, motivator and dynamist. The aim of this research is to find out the role of the Sugihwaras Village Government in realizing a smart village in Sugihwaras village using qualitative descriptive methods using primary and secondary data with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. In this research, the author used a purposive sampling technique to determine informants. The theory used in this research is the smart village theory D.herdiana; 2019 using 3 indicators: first smart government, second smart community, third smart environment, with the role of village government as facilitator, motivator and dynamist. I Overall, smart government and smart community have been implemented well, but in terms of smart environment indicators, the Sugihwaras village government has not implemented it optimally.
