Banyuwangi with the osing culture have the art of Barong Kemiren Tresno Budoyo in the village of Kemiren. This was a semiotic research to explain the story brought by Barong Kemiren Tresno Budoyo. The data was collected by interviewing Mr. Setyo Herfendi the art leader of Barong Kemiren Tresno Budoyo and Mr. Suhaimi the traditional chairman of Kemiren village, besides that direct observation was also made on the Kuwung Kemiren event. The data were analyzed using Roland Barthez's semiotics to interpret the meaning of the data obtained. The finding of this study is that Barong Kemiren Tresno Budoyo's art wants to convey a message in the form that when someone does good things, then he will also get good things, and vice versa. In addition, there is a message that there is no perfection in this world, because perfection belongs only to God.
