Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and describe the effect of the application of the Problem Based Learning model on Islamic Religious Education learning at school, by looking at the results of previous studies. This research is a descriptive research using the Systematic Literature Review method. All articles related to the application of the Problem Based Learning model to Islamic Religious Education learning in the 2019-2023 period were documented and reviewed. The articles used in this study were 10 articles obtained from Google Scholar. The collected data were analyzed using PRISMA. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the PBL model has a significant effect on problem-solving ability, learning motivation, and improvement of learning outcomes or student achievement. As shown by several studies, even the PBL model is very effective in increasing students' innovation in learning at elementary, middle and high school levels.
