Abstract

The results of the research found that due to low interest in reading and the existence of a literacy movement program in schools launched by the government to improve students' critical, analytical, creative, and innovative thinking skills through interest in reading, paying attention, and speaking. This research was conducted in one of the elementary schools that implemented a literacy program in their school. This research aims to help researchers inform and disseminate information to the public about school literacy programs. The research subjects were second-grade students and their homeroom teachers. This research uses qualitative research methods using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this research consist of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The findings show that the literacy training program in elementary schools is implemented effectively and efficiently.
