Abstract

This research aims to understand the implementation of Ummi method in Quranic learning management at SDIT Insan Kamil Sidoarjo, involving planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method, data were obtained through field observations, reports, and research journals, employing interview techniques and document collection. The research subjects included the school principal and the Quran Coordinator. Results indicate a high commitment of teachers in lesson planning, organizational involvement with the appointment of a coordinator, and implementation of a classical method with 7 teaching steps and interactive media. Challenges include a changing location and limited supervision time. Daily evaluations, progress tests, pre-munaqosyah, munaqosyah, and khotaman are employed to monitor student progress. Ummi method advantages encompass a quality-based system, systematic steps, continuous material, and strict control. However, this method has drawbacks such as the need for numerous teachers, lengthy duration, and high costs.
