Abstract

Human activities in the use of resources, industry, fisheries, mining, tourism and others. Excessive waste production and endangering aquatic and marine life can result in environmental damage or degradation of environmental quality such as pollution which has an impact on reducing water quality. Cadmium is a type of heavy metal that is dangerous because this element is risky and has an effect on humans in the long term and can accumulate. in the body, especially the liver and kidneys.  The research results showed that Cadmium (Cd) levels were below the threshold of 0.01 mg/L and Chromium (Cr) were also below the threshold of 0.24 – 1.8 mg/L. The results of the Spearman correlation test on Cadmium (Cd) metal and Pearson correlation on Chromium (Cr) metal obtained a sig value. > 0.05, so Ho is accepted and shows there is no relationship between heavy metals and the age of fishermen
