Abstract

Ethanol is an alternative fuel that can be used in motorized vehicles. In using ethanol in the combustion chamber, it requires several modifications to the engine to be used, such as changing the ignition timing, changing the compression ratio, and changing the engine's fuel intake system. It is hoped that there will be an increase in the work of the machine and its efficiency. This research focuses on the matic 110cc engine, starting with setting the compression ratio, then proceed with setting the fuel intake system, namely through the injector, and continuing with changing the ignition timing. Then test the ethano l fuel with 6 variations 15%:85%, 30%:70%, 45%:55%, 60%:40%, 70%:30%, & 80%:20% (ethanol:pertamax ratio).
