This study aims to determine the emotional description of adolescents with broken home families in Krian District, Sidoarjo, by applying a qualitative and phenomenological approach according to the social situation of the object under study. Methods of data collection through interviews and observation then carried out the validity of the data to obtain conclusions. The results of the study show that every child who experiences a broken home has their own way or self-control in dealing with these problems during their infancy. This is because the occurrence of divorce when the child is still small or at the age of a teenager which is in the growth and development phase will have a significant impact, especially on physical, psychological and social changes. In other words, they are still unstable and not yet in the emotional maturity phase
