Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of the GATB gene in DT2 patients. 10 DT2 samples were taken from the Sidorjo Wound Hospital, which were then PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and continued with the sequencing stage. The sequencing process identified the GATB gene with a length of 438bp. The sequencing results were processed and aligned using the Mega X 6.0 application. The results of the BLAST obtained sequences that are similar to GATB (AC092611.3). Based on the alignment results, there is no specific polymorphism as seen from the primer used from the 5' end. The polymorphism may be present at the 3' end of the identified gene.
