Abstract

Meshing is the division of stress and pressure calculations. In this analysis uses 2 mesh shapes, namely rectangular mesh and triangular mesh to see the calculation rician, and uses 4 tools with Cilynder pin, Cilynder Tapper, Square Tapper, and Hexagonal.  This study aims to determine the effect of rectangular and triangular mesh models on the temperature of the FSW process. This research uses the transient thermal method to study all heat generation parameters. In this study using process parameters tool rotation speed 80.11, 126.50, 199.70, 316.46 (rad/s), concave shoulder angle 2, 5, 8, 11 (0), tool tilt angle 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 (0), and welding speed 24, 43, 65, 90 (mm/s). This research uses the standard optimal maximum temperature of 3150C according to Weis Olea, C. A. (2008).
