This study examines the development of intellectual competence through dialogic learning at the Putri Bangil Islamic Boarding School. The purpose of this study is to analyze and understand the development of intellectual competence of students through dialogic learning patterns at the Islamic Unity Islamic Boarding School (PERSIS) Bangil Pasuruan.. This research approach uses qualitative research with the type of case study research. The data collection technique uses a type of participatory observation, where the researcher is directly involved in observing all activities at the Islamic Boarding School. The results of research on fostering intellectual competence through dialogic learning in Islamic boarding schools are carried out by: First, conducting discussions outside and inside learning activities so as to foster a critical attitude towards the opinions of others. Second, instilling the courage to express opinions based on the literature that is understood. Third, being active in scientific competitions, both local and national.
