Processed tempe food is nothing new to Indonesians. A food made from soybeans and carefully selected additional ingredients, tempeh is a high protein food and has many health benefits. The high public demand for tempe consumption usually means that tempe producers have to work hard to meet consumer demand. The value planning method is a well-known method and has the potential for significant success in controlling costs in a project. This method uses an approach that analyzes function values. The goal of value engineering methods is to minimize costs while maintaining desired quality and reliability. When tempeh packaging equipment is manufactured using value engineering methods, it will improve the performance of tempeh packaging operators to increase the speed and ease of packaging. This VE method also helps in selecting the best option from a cost perspective, while maintaining performance, durability and reliability, increasing productivity and increasing profits for the company
