Aluminum alloy AA6061-T651 has a melting point of 600 oC and is widely used for materials for making trains, ships, aircraft and others. Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is the latest innovation in the field of solid state welding which is suitable for use with aluminum which has a low melting point. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in process parameters on the aluminum AA6061-T651 macrostructure resulting from Friction Stir Welding using Fillet joints and hexagonal tool geometries. The FSW process uses the Taguchi Orthogonal Array method to study all FSW parameters and minimize the experiments carried out. In this study using process parameters tool rotation speed 1907, 2192, 2477, 3022 (rpm), Tool rotation speed 15,36, 48 (mm/min), Tool tilt angle 0, 2.5, 3.4, (°), and the depth of ingestion of various parameters. Macrostructure testing in this study used the ASTM e407-07 standard.
