This study aims to determine the effect of alkaline CaOH2 on fiber strength characteristics and the effect of fiber
treated with CaOH2 on composites. The methods used in this research are molding methods, composite manufacturing
methods, weight fraction manufacturing methods, tensile testing methods and experiments. The concentration of the
mixed CaOH compound used in this experiment was 4%, 7%, 10%, 13% and 15% by going through a 2-hour soaking
process so that sansivera fibers weighing 0.2 grams in each strand of fiber with the strength of the fiber tested would
come out produce each fiber has strength with different treatment. From the results of this experiment, there is an
influence on the strength value of the fiber received from the treatment of CaOH2 compounds, where CaOH2
compounds have little effect on fiber, while CaOH2 compounds have more, the effect received is better with a high percentage.
