Abstract

Self-confidence is a feeling of confidence in one's own ability to feel capable of solving something one faces so one doesn't worry about what one is doing. Children who have self-confidence can explore their abilities or potential, because they believe and have confidence in their abilities. Early childhood is a child aged 0-6 years who has more rapid and fundamental development, growth in the early years of life. This study used classroom action research. This study aims to increase the self-confidence of children aged 4-5 years at the Dharma Wanita Unity Kindergarten, Sidoarjo through role playing beginning with pre-cycle observations which show a percentage of children's self-confidence of 43%, then cycle 1 obtains the percentage result is 62%, this percentage does not meet the specified completeness criteria, then cycle II is carried out to obtain a percentage result of 82% and has met the targeted completeness criteria.
