This research develops a multilingual vocabulary recognition application based on augmented reality (AR) targeting early childhood education in kindergarten. The Foundation of this study lies in the advancement of technology in the context of early childhood education, which increasingly relies on multimedia and AR to enhance learning effectiveness. This study used the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) methodology which includes the concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing and distribution stages. Testing result using the blackbox method demonstrate a 90,8% application feasibility rate, indicating success in achieving development objectives. The application provides an interactive and engaging learning experience for children, enabling them to grasp vocabulary in various languages. The primary contribution of this research is the introducation of an innovative learning approach in early childhood education, facilitating the effective use of AR technology. Thus, this application has the potential to enrich children’s learning experiences in kindergarten and support their holistic development.
