Abstract

This research aims to describe the effect of the experiential learning model on the science process skills of junior high school students and describe the science process skills of students based on the improvement of each indicator. The design of this study uses Non-Equivalent Control Group Design in one experimental class and one control class from class VIII SMPN 1 Beji. Data analysis was performed by normality test, homogeneity test, independent t-test, and N-Gain test. The results of the research show that there is an effect of the experiential learnings model on students' science process skills with an independent-sample t-test statistical value of 0.002 or 0.002 < 5% (0.05). There was an increase in indicators of science process skills in the control class with an average N-gain value of 0.09 in the low category and in the experimental class with an average N-gain value of 0.48 in the medium category.
