Abstract

This study aims to find out how the guidance and counseling teacher's strategy at SMPN 3 Krian deals with students
addicted to gadgets.   Students Learning at school was carried out through gadgets. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative method. The research informants using purposive sampling, namely two counseling teachers from SMPN 3 Krian and six class VII students. So the results of this study are therapeutic communication that is direct interaction can provide fast recovery to students addicted to gadgets, the strategies used by counseling teachers are asking questions, listening to complaints, receiving answers, repeating topics, clarifying information, and providing reflection to students.
