Abstract

PT. Karya Mitra Tehnik Sidoarjo is a company engaged in services by providing heavy equipment to meet the needs of projects and companies. Based on the results of observations and interviews, there were 37% of employees who had problems related to competence which had an impact on reduced employee performance and there were 40% of employees who had complaints related to the work environment which had an impact on employee comfort. This study aims to determine whether competence and work environment affect employee performance. PLS-SEM method to determine the effect of competence and work environment on employee performance. The IPA method for constructing matrices based on importance and performance. The results of the PLS-SEM method show that competence and environment influence employee performance. The results of the IPA method show that there are indicators that are the main priority for improvement in quadrant I, namely indicators X1.1 and X2.2.
