The Influence of Experimental Methods on Students’ Cognitive Learning Outcomes in Science Learning in Grade 3 Elementary School

This research is based on several problems, on science learning materials that the cognitive learning outcomes achieved by students are still quite low. The study was conducted to determine whether or not there was an influence of experimental methods on students' cognitive learning outcomes in grade 3 science learning at SDN Keret. Pre-experiment one group pretest-posttest research design. A total of 18 grade 3 students of SDN Keret. From the squared eta test data, 0.825 results were obtained with pretest and postest values of 0.856. The value after the experiment increased and if t = 20.173 ≥ 0.14 proved that there was a significant effect. The value of Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.00<0.05, then Ha accepted H0 is rejected. It was found that a significance value of less than 0.05 indicates a significant data difference between pre-test and post-test scores on the effect of experimental methods on students' cognitive learning.
