Coding action is an activity to a disease code according to the classification based on ICD-10. Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) was further developed by Ajzen (1985) which assumes that intention to behave is determined by an individual's desire to do or not to do a particular behavior. The purpose of this study was to analyze qualitatively with a descriptive approach regarding the factors that influence the coder's actions in coding type 2 diabetes mellitus at Al-Islam H.M Mawardi General Hospital using Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) analysis. The research was conducted in February - July 2023. The data collection method in this study used interviews and observations with 2 outpatient coder officers at the BPJS casemix unit as subjects. The results of this study reveal that the factors influencing the intention to behave using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) are beliefs and evaluations, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control
