Abstract

This joining technique is one of filling techniques for the workpiece, especially composite materials. In this study materials used were car bumpers and motorcycle fenders with the basic materials of fiberglass and plastic. The fiberglass used is type E-Glass,C-Glass,S-Glass. This research was conducted at the Surabaya Job Training Center which aims to find out how to connect and connect damaged car bumpers and motorcycle fenders using the patching method on polymer matrix composite materials or polymer matrix composites and analyze the test results. bending of the polymer matrix composite material and knowing the optimal composition between the matrix and its reinforcement that it can be patched on polymer matrix composite material or material/Polymer Matrix Composite and which material has the highest bending test result. Based on bending test carried out, it showed that highest strength results were obtained from motorcycle fenders made of fiberglass with fiberglass and polyester resin fillings.
