Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of competence and job insecurity as an effort to increase performance through organizational commitment. Research using descriptive quantitative methods. Sampling in this study used a total sampling technique, with a total sample of 100 respondents from all total employees. Data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses the SPSS 16 software program. The results of this study indicate that competency has a significant positive effect on employee performance, job insecurity has a significant negative effect on employee performance, competency has a significant positive effect on organizational commitment, job insecurity has a significant positive effect on organizational commitment, organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Meanwhile competence has a significant positive indirect effect on employee performance through organizational commitment and Job Insecurity has a significant negative indirect effect on Employee Performance through Organizational Commitment.
