Utilization of QR Code for Transactions on the Web-based E-Canteen System

Abstract

The dining room where the customers can eat is known as the canteen. Procedures for processing food and maintaining the cleanliness of the canteen must be followed by the canteen itself. Currently, ordering at the XYZ canteen is still using the conventional method. This method often causes long queues and human error. To solve problems in the XYZ canteen, it applies QR Code technology which makes it easier for the ordering process. Therefore, the research being carried out is the use of the QR Code for transactions on the e-canteen system. This research method is Agile Development using Blackbox Testing. This system was built using the Python programming language with the help of the Flask Framework and SQLite database. From the test results, the researcher succeeded in implementing a website by displaying product data. With this system, it can help customer in ordering by simply scanning the QR Code.
