Abstract

Kualimas Aditama is a company engaged in manufacturing, with defect level problems exceeding the tolerance limit of the company. The production of 60x60cm ceramics for 6 months in February 2023 has caused product defects of 3.2% exceeding the tolerance limit defect value of 1505 Pcs with a sigma level of 3.9 and DPMO 15255, this value is at level 3 sigma, meaning that the company needs to improve quality to achieve zero defects. In the define stage, there were 4 product defects that occurred, namely mature gupil of 2,668 pcs, raw goupil of 2,158 pcs, ceramics scratched by 1,255 pcs and edge cracks of 586 pcs. This study aims to determine ceramic defects, and provide suggestions for improvements to reduce the number of defects. with Six Sigma and RCA methods, methods and materials based on this analysis, improvement proposals can be known from the highest defect results.
