Abstract

This study will see how the application of the STAD (Student Teams Achievement Divisions) type cooperative learning model in improving the character of cooperation in grade IV students of Sdn Kepadangan 1 Tulangan Sidoarjo. This type of research is a Classroom Action Research conducted by following a research procedure based on the Kurt Lewin model. Researchers chose the Kurt Lewin model because this model is suitable for improving character in students with the STAD type cooperative learning model. The results showed an increase in student learning activities in each indicator. This proves that the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model is able to increase student learning activities. The increase in student learning activities is also supported by the improvement of student learning outcomes.
