Aims to explain the effect of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on the understanding of mathematical concepts in Class III elementary school students. This type of research uses Pre-Experimental Design (Nondesigns) in quantitative research. The research design used the One Group Pre-test Post-test Design with a non-probability sampling technique using Saturated Sampling. The population is 24 students. The data collection technique uses 10 test instruments in the form of pre-test and post-test. The results of data analysis through IBM SPSS Statistics 23 for Windows show 92.9167 > 83.1250. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test show the sig. (0.000) < a = 0.05. Chi Square test results of 0.16 > 0.14. So it can be concluded that the pretest and posttest values show differences in understanding mathematical concepts so that they can influence the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model in class III elementary school students.
