This study aims to identify the process of proposing post solution type problems used by students on area measurement material. The type of research used is qualitative with a case study approach. The research subjects used as samples were 25 fifth grade elementary school students. In this study found three categories of students in doing post solution type problem posing, namely: students are able to do problem posing and solve the problem with the correct answer, students are able to do problem posing but solve the problem with the wrong answer, students are able to do problem posing but cannot solve the problem. The results of this study suggest that students learn to propose problems and solve problems about the material they have learned. This has implications for educators to provide opportunities for students to propose problems to explore themselves in thinking and understanding more diverse problems.
