Merdeka Belajar is a new curriculum that facilitates children in the learning process at school with real, interactive, and relevant media. Merdeka Belajar is projected to help children think critically, logically, recognize the daily environment in collaboration with numeracy learning. The independent curriculum is a program that is expected to restore learning, which offers three characteristics including project-based learning. Knowing how the implementation of learning to count for children aged 5-6 years in the independent curriculum and looking for supporting factors in the independent curriculum learning. To improve early counting learning for children aged 5-6 years through the 5M method and loost part media in class B in the independent curriculum. From the results of interviews and observations made, it can be concluded that learning to count through the independent curriculum from the application of 5M and loost part media can improve the ability to learn counting.
