The deepening of this objective is to analyze the implementation of the syllabus of independent studies in Islamic religious studies (PAI) in detail junior high school (SMP). The Merdeka Belajar Curriculum (KMB) is the government's effort to reform learning in Indonesia with leeway sharing to schools to improve the curve that suits the needs of educational students. This deepening uses a qualitative deepening method with a case learning approach, data is collected through observations, interviews, and runs related to curriculum and learning. The respondents of this study consisted of teachers of religious studies, Islamic religious education (PAI) at Sidoarjo Islam Junior High School (SMP) who implemented it to implement the independent learning syllabus.
