The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of an independent learning curriculum based on environmental character education in adiwiyata schools for elementary school students in maintaining the title of adiwiyata school at the Sidoarjo Regency level. Using a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The research informants were the Principal and Teacher of class IV. Data analysis techniques used include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, then conclusions. The results showed that through strategies in maintaining character, caring for the environment can provide convenience in character building to students, including consistency in implementing habituation and school culture.
