This article discusses the meaning of longing in the meaning of Seventeen's song Ayah using Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic analysis technique. This study discusses aspect of sign using Saussure's theory. This research method uses interpretive qualitative methods. Data collection technique using document studies, using information from various sources suspected to be relevant to the research. First stanza the father is irreplaceable source protection, support and education for his child. Second stanza tells Dad is exemplary figure, bringing happiness moments to family. Third stanza discusses beautiful moments with father leaving precious memories for the child. The meaning of longing is found in third stanza, songwriter uses the sentences "I only call you daddy" and "I remember you daddy" to show his longing his father when his son in confused situation, because it explained in two previous stanzas that father a figure who provides direction and warmth in a child's life journey.
