In this era of globalization, humans have experienced significant technological developments. This technological development makes changes in human life easier and more practical. All Indonesian people have used social media, especially the Tiktok and Instagram applications. These two social media have an active role in life, especially among teenagers, at the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo these two applications have an important role in changing the mindset and lifestyle of university students. Students/I use the social media Tiktok and Instagram as media for entertainment, promotion and needs. Both of these applications have good and bad effects according to what is used by their users. This study uses qualitative research using descriptive methods. This study uses research subjects, namely videos or posts from Instagram and TikTok which are often accessed by students of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo University. Researchers took several respondents using the Snowball technique to find respondents.
