Abstract

The increasingly modern technological development of today many new media that move in the field of Technology, Communication, and Information that will continue to grow with the development of the times. New media impacts is the emergence of Bumble or dating apps that make it easier to find new information and acquaintances online. Users can find the ideal pair according to the criteria swipe right when their profile likes and swipe to the left when don’t like their profile. A new user can start a chat with the rule that only women can start the chat for the first time. The study aims to find out the motives of Bumble users looking for a partner in the era of New Media and uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods that directly analyze the results of interviews with Bumble users and study subjectively to more detail in understanding the individual’s experience.
