Abstract

Mental health is a state in which a person does not experience mental disorders and is able to carry out daily activities normally, especially in facing life challenges.  Typically, teenagers or now known as Generation Z are the ones who often experience poor mental health conditions because at their age they are still unable to control themselves, and also due to a lack of knowledge about mental health. The purpose of this research is to develop an expert system application for detecting mental health conditions to assist Generation Z in understanding their mental health condition.  The system was tested using the black box testing method, which confirms that the system successfully functions as intended, and expert testing resulted in an accuracy rate of 91.67%. It can be concluded that the system is suitable for use.
