The application of technology in today's highly developed era certainly has a lot of technology applied, especially in the form of information systems in several fields, especially in the field of education. the final decision will involve a large human opinion, in other words the assessment becomes subjective. With this problem the author aims to provide a web-based online exam system with automatic assessment. By using the waterfall method this system is designed to facilitate further development and use a black box in checking the system. In this system there are several exam features, namely multiple choice and descriptions with the time determined by each teacher as for supporting features such as score recap and forgotten password. All features in the system can run properly which are operated by three users, namely admin, teacher, and students.
