Abstract

History and information are something that cannot be separated. In the introduction of history through information, often only in the form of pictures and writing. Augmented Reality is a technology that allows interaction between virtual objects and the real world in real-time generated by a computer. To participate in supporting tourism promotion, it is necessary to develop promotional media using the application “Introduction to Historical Tourist Attractions in the Center of Surabaya City Using Augmented Reality” Building objects are created and visualized in three dimensions through Augmented Reality technology. The purpose of developing this application is as a media for introducing interactive tourist objects, to attract the attention of domestic and international tourists. In developing the application the method used is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle method and has been successfully operated on several devices with a minimum Android 8.1 operating system.
