Manajemen Identitas Diri LGBT di Media Sosial

Social media is now used by marginalized groups such as LGBT as an alternative to express their identity. This research was compiled with the aim of analyzing how LGBT actors express their identity and how their identity is represented in social media. The method used in this research is qualitative research. The data collection technique was carries out by documenting and analyzing the contents of Instagram content for LGBT actors, namely @mimi.peri, @joviadhiguna, @lucintaluna_manjalita, and @ablaolevera. The results of the research shor that in the process of representing one’s self-identity, one must have been in the esploratory phase, the struggle phase, and the renegotiation phase in order to establish the identity to be represented. Ans every research object also has a different process in going through these phase, making peace with itself, so that finally it can represenst identity openly
