Abstract

This prototype is a flood detection tool based on the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor and uses the LoRa SX1278 module. This device is designed to be used in a flood case study in Gelam, Sidoarjo. The ultrasonic sensor measures the water level around the device, while the LoRa module sends the water level data to the receiving device. Security and safety are important factors in society. To overcome this, a system is needed that can warn of flood disasters. With this device, it is hoped that the surrounding community can monitor the water level in the area, so that they can predict the risk of flooding and take the necessary precautions so that losses can be reduced. For this reason, it is necessary to have a remote flood detection device, not only increasing the accuracy of flood detection.
