The Concept of Scientific Integration from Amin Abdullah's Perspective and Its Implementation in Schools

This article examines the concepts, principles, and implementation of the integration-interconnection approach as an epistemological paradigm for bridging the relationship between science and Islam in the modern era. This study aims to analyze the thought of M. Amin Abdullah as an integrative model that seeks to overcome the dichotomy between religious sciences and general sciences. The research employs a library research method by reviewing various relevant literatures on integration-interconnection. The findings reveal that this approach is supported by theo-anthropocentric-integralistic characteristics, the spider-web paradigm, and the strengthening of interdisciplinary dialogue through teachers’ efforts to connect general knowledge. The integration-interconnection approach has proven effective in developing a more holistic, humanistic, and adaptive model of Islamic scholarship that responds to global challenges while reinforcing the role of Islamic ethical values in the advancement of modern science
