The purpose of this study was to find out the communication patterns of parents in raising children in the Tretes Pasuruan prostitution area. This study applies a qualitative approach with triangulation data collection techniques and interactive analysis techniques by Miles and Huberman. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative phenomonological study. The data collection technique uses interviews with parents in the Tretes Pausuran prostitution area, conducting direct observations in the field and documenting them to serve as supporting material for researchers. The results of the study found that the strategies planned by parents in raising children, facts, thoughts, feelings and values towards children to achieve a goal, namely to form the character and mindset of the child as a whole person so as to prevent children from prostitution. The well-developed mindset of a child produces maturity in thinking and will not be easily influenced to engage in prostitution.
