Global climate change demands mitigation actions through accurate forest CO2 absorption inventory. Conventional field measurements remain suboptimal in accommodating vegetation uncertainties. This study aims to estimate tree CO2 absorption capacity using a MATLAB-based Sugeno Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) in the R. Soeryo Conservation Forest Area. An experimental quantitative approach was applied to 17 tree samples within a 10x50 m plot. Fuzzy input parameters include tree diameter and height, while the output represents estimated CO2 absorption. Testing with triangular membership functions demonstrated high precision, yielding a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 2.32% (97.68% accuracy). The plot analysis recorded a total actual fuzzy absorption of 1,630.39 kg CO2 (averaging 95.91 kg/tree). Broad-scale projection estimates an absorption capacity of 32.608 Tons/Ha, proving this method effectively supports digital forest inventory.
