Viscosity Test for Handling B3 Liquid Waste on Used Oil Using the Taguchi Method

This research focuses on the process of treating used oil waste to protect the environment so that damage can be minimized. The Taguchi method was used. The taguchi method is expected to produce good quality used oil and can be processed properly. Test assessment using the taguchi method focuses on the characteristics of waste lubricant and viscosity level, oil density and oil surface tension, as well as the percentage of used oil purity level. The results showed that the best value for used oil must meet the viscosity value of 60 ms, the oil density is 0.96 g while the surface tension of the oil is 17.65 dyne/cm, and the percentage of purity must meet the value of 80% compared to other ingredients such as water or slug contained in used oil.
