Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of the Gallery Walk strategy using posters on students’ English vocabulary mastery. This study employed a pre-experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design involving 17 seventh-grade students at a junior high school in Indonesia. Data were collected through vocabulary tests administered before and after the intervention. The results indicate that students’ average scores increased from 55.53 on the pre-test to 78.82 on the post-test. Additionally, the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test yielded a significance value of 0.001, indicating a significant difference between pre-test and post-test results. These findings suggest that the Gallery Walk strategy using posters effectively improves students’ vocabulary mastery by encouraging active participation and visual learning. This study contributes to English language teaching by providing an interactive and engaging strategy that can help teachers improve students’ vocabulary learning outcomes.
