Development of Ethnoscience-Based E-Book Media to Improve Learning Motivation of Grade IV Students

This research aims to develop ethnoscience-based e-book media to improve the learning motivation of fourth-grade students on energy transformation material. The primary problem is the dominance of conventional learning methods, causing low student enthusiasm and difficulty in understanding abstract science concepts. This study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Validation results from material experts (87.75%) and media experts (87.4%) categorized the product as "Very Feasible". Implementation results showed a significant increase in motivation, with average scores rising from 74.91 to 94.09 and an N-Gain score of 0.76 (High category). In conclusion, the ethnoscience-based e-book is effective in enhancing student motivation and connecting science concepts with local wisdom. This media serves as an innovative solution to optimize digital literacy in elementary schools.
